Symphrosius Amalarius and Transubstantiation

Q. Did Symphrosius advocate the Roman dogma of transubstantiation?

Symphrosius Amalarius, Priest Of Metz (c. 9th Century A.D.):

This cup is a figure of my body, in which is the blood which shall flow from my side for fulfilling the old law.  (J. P. Minge, Patrologiæ Cursus Completus, [1851], Patrologiæ Latinæ, Tomus CV, Symphosii Amalarii Epistolæ, Epistola IV, Amalarii Ad Rantgarium Episcopum, Col. 1334). Here Trans. (J. H. Treat, The Catholic Faith; Or, Doctrines of the Church of Rome Contrary to Scripture and the Teaching of the Primitive Church, [1888], p. 229). Here

The mystery of faith is faith, as Augustine, in Epistle 23 to Bishop Boniface, says: As therefore in a certain sense the Sacrament of the body of Christ is the body of Christ, and the Sacrament of the blood of Christ is the blood of Christ, so the Sacrament of faith is faith. (J. P. Minge, Patrologiæ Cursus Completus, [1851], Patrologiæ Latinæ, Tomus CV, Symphosii Amalarii Epistolæ, Epistola IV, Amalarii Ad Rantgarium Episcopum, Col. 1334-1335). Here Trans. (J. H. Treat, The Catholic Faith; Or, Doctrines of the Church of Rome Contrary to Scripture and the Teaching of the Primitive Church, [1888], p. 229-230). Here
